Beef
We raise some of the finest locally grown natural fed beef cattle in the Pacific Northwest. Located just outside Brownsville, Oregon, we serve Eugene, Albany, Salem, Portland and surrounding areas with beef and pork.
What you get
What you get in a quarter varies a little but you'll get between 90-120 lbs of packaged take home meat approximately 1/3 steaks, (rib steak, sirloin steaks, tbone or new yorks and a small tenderloin) 1/3 roasts (tri tip, brisket, chuck, rump) and 1/3 ground beef. That's an approximate ratio but it can be a little more on the ground beef. It's $4.25 a lb on the hanging weight including all butcher fees ($3 a lb plus processing) it works out to between $6-$7 a lb on your packaged take home meat.
- A quarter is standard cut only and is a mixed quarter (half of a half)
- Half and whole beef can be custom cut
- Quarters cost between $650-$850
- Halves cost $1250-$1680
- Whole beef costs $2600-$3200
Those prices include all butcher fees and the reason for the range is the variation in hanging weight in every beef
